Brexit “Global Britain” Higher tariffs than the EU

Britain has lost its advantage over the EU when it comes to trade, the head of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has said after it emerged the UK will pay higher tariffs than the bloc following President Trump’s new wave of tariffs.
So much for the promise of “Global Britain” Higher tariffs than the EU — how is this the independent trade advantage we were sold? Where is the government’s concrete plan to reverse this damage? And how long will British businesses keep paying the price for a strategy that looks increasingly hollow?
